//FAST VIDEO MACHINE a.k.a VM-STUDIO
Im
a happy owner of a complete working //FAST video machine.
This used to be the cutting edge of nonlinear editing
back in the early/mid 90's. And i still would call it
a pretty stable old work horse when it comes to SD video
editing. The VM studio is basicaly a set of ISA bords
put into a PC computer. The pc is only used to run the
software that communicates whit the cards. All rendering
and playback is done internaly by the bord sett. That's
why you can run uncompressed 4:2:2 video editing whit
realtime effects on a 1666Mhz intel computer whit 64megs
of ram (thats my configuration).
At the moment i dont have my system (hooked-up) but im
acctualy planing on using it some day.
But wanting to help other people who might stumble over
this systems (mine was given to me from an old school)
i will put the manuals for the WM-Studio software &
Hardware up for download. I hope this will help some people
in the aid of keeping these systems alive!
